Hello!

 

 

When I was asked to put together an “About Us” page for the website, I was instantly stressed. My first thought was, “how do I do this?” My second thought was, “how do I do this without being pretentious or boring?” I don’t know about you, but I don’t read the “About Us” pages on anyone’s website. Am I alone? Let’s face it, it’s like sitting in on someone’s interview. You are only going to hear the good stuff. At best is completely boring and at worst, it’s tedious, cliché and Zzzzz.. Oh, did I mention boring?!

 

So, I decided to take a little different approach.

 

How can I truly tell you about Mike and me, and about INCS if I can’t be myself? So, here goes. My name is Tracey, and I’m a Skagit Valley native. After college, I got my feet wet in the big city of Seattle. I lived and worked in that area for about ten years. It was a wonderful experience but I always knew, at some point, I would settle back in the Valley.

 

After working in administration and accounting positions for roughly fifteen years, I made my way back to my hometown of Anacortes and was hired by a local contract servicing company. Now, I won’t be so bold as to name drop, but I will say that this company, although small, was a leader in the industry and for good reason. Their business model is one that I would be honored to recreate and possibly expand. It didn’t take long to realize I was learning from the best. I had the benefit of starting at the bottom; admittedly, not seen that way at the time. I can proudly say I’ve held every position this business has to offer. Although opening mail doesn’t seem like something to brag about, you might be surprised by the insight that can be gained from even seemingly menial tasks.

 

My years with this company were extremely educational and will be vital to the success of INCS. The most valuable lessons learned during that time stemmed from the way my manager (and mentor) approached the business and our clientele. In this era of faceless call centers and automated technologies, I have realized that open and honest communication with customers is the only way to provide the service needed in this industry. Procedures and processes can be learned but integrity and character are often overlooked in business today.

 

Indulge me for just a minute… After years of training people to work in this field, I have found that people either “get it” or they don’t. I get it. This is my niche! I love this line of work and it shows. Sorry, too much tooting of my own horn? It’s important that you, as the client or potential client, know that I have a passion for this work. It’s not just a job. When you team this kind of passion with knowledge and opportunity, you have a successful business. You have INCS.

 

But, this story isn’t just about me. In 2014, Mike Winslow, an Attorney in Mount Vernon, WA, approached me about opening a local loan servicing company. For years, Mike has been working with individual and investors, through his law practice, facilitating and preparing private contracts and transactions. He has both personal and professional knowledge of this business, and this knowledge is vital to the success of INCS. I was first introduced to Mike at the beginning of my servicing career, and have had the opportunity to work with him, on various projects, over the last seven years. The fact that Mike and I have different experiences in this industry, has given us a unique perspective that is sure to be an asset to this company. We share a common vision for Independent Note and Contract Services, LLC. Are you ready? It’s simple. We believe in running a proficient, and accountable servicing company that focuses on the heart of the business, our clients.   I warned you it was simple.

 

What else is there to say? People want to know that their contracts are being handled in a professional manner by people who know what they are doing. Guess what? We can do that! We want to do that, and we will do that for you! Bottom line, we wouldn’t have a business if it weren’t for our clients. It only makes sense to put you first. A simple business strategy that is often overlooked in our changing world.

 

I could throw statistics at you and play up our resumes, but I would rather you get to know us. Better yet, we would rather get to know you. We want to provide a service that may not necessary exist anywhere else.

 

I encourage you to call us or stop by the office. Interview me. I’ll try not to bore you. One thing is for sure, you won’t get the same ol’ sales pitch. My goal is that you walk out of my office or hang up the phone feeling like you just talked to a trusted friend and have the assurance that your transaction will be priority.
